The idea of hybrids, either with aliens or gods, has roots in many cultures. After all, the Greek gods spent a lot of time breeding demigods!
I wasn’t curious about the word “you,” but about what audience John meant by it. He said the file wasn’t for publication or discussion, so who did he want to read it? Fellow researchers, maybe, or posterity? In any case, these conclusions probably affected his public writing at the time.
