Stara Pazova And here’s the next part of John’s original report on Tiny’s visit to the Christiansens. It includes a strange detail omitted from the version in The Mothman Prophecies: Tiny recites a long poem about piddling dogs. It reminds me of a traditional verse called “Runt, or the Piddlin’ Pup,” often reprinted in collections of bawdy songs and verse, and set to music more than once. I’ve posted an old version I found in an antique store, after John’s report. It’s not really a riddle, unless Tiny wanted them to guess the punchline.

Thanks Doug for sharing Johns notes. This is one of those “way out strange” cases that I think about from time to time. I wasn’t aware of the second case, from John’s girlfriend. I’m not sure there’s any way to truly digest this event. I did recently read something Aime Michel wrote about a UFO case where he wondered if all the players in the case were not involved “by chance” but rather by design. Which makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up…..

John was investigating a number of other “missing heirs” reports then. Strange, indeed…

There’s no limit to the depth of weirdness human beings are capable of, but reading this I have to wonder if someone was trying to steal Ed Christiansen’s identity, right down to noting scars, etc. Was there any follow-up to this? Did he ever experience credit fraud? Did a CIA agent using the name Ed Christiansen ever visit the Far East . . . ? It certainly sounds like Tiny was “wired,” too.

Just a thought. but has anyone considered that the MIB witnesses describe might have been Warsaw Pact intelligence agents? I doubt they were the smooth, highly-trained Soviet KGB, but rather agents from say Rumania, Albania, or Bulgaria who might have come from a rural background and have odd haircuts, poor manners, strange dress. That would explain a lot of their odd behavior.

That sounds plausible. It’s odd that Tiny didn’t ask about family and marital history, though. I don’t know if there was any follow-up to the Christiansens. John did, however, investigate some other cases involving “missing heir” calls.

It’s also been suggested that some of the reported MIBs might have been UFO buffs, who are also capable of odd behavior. On the other hand, Tiny didn’t ask about the UFO sighting.

Agatha Christie, relaying what MI5 friends told her: “the more bizarre the incident, the simpler the explanation.” In other words the whole Tiny charade was little more than a diversion for a magic trick. The wire on the leg could plausibly be a component of a battery operated recording device.
His lightweight clothing is nothing more than a side effect of having driven there in a warm car.
The modern MIBs like this have been traced to vehicles with false registration that ultimately resolves to BLM vehicles, so this is almost certain to be more AFOSI / ONI / NSA / CIA illusionism.
