Doug Skinner gave a most wonderful talk on John Keel at the 54th annual FortFest. The audience was, in turn, fascinated, amused, titillated and not dry-eyed. After the conference, the hotel reported a spate of reports from more than a few guests that the name John Keel was showing up in the flyleaf of their rooms’ bibles.

Thanks, Phyllis… At the end of my talk, I recalled that John was once alarmed to find his name written inside a Gideon Bible in a motel. I suggested that members of the audience write John’s name (or one of his pseudonyms) inside the Bibles in their rooms, as a little memorial.
