John’s year of concentrated high strangeness continues. Among other things, Jaye Paro passes along more prophecies (“utter bilge,” in his opinion), a neighbor’s apartment is broken into, there are more odd phone calls, Paro’s new contact Lia makes her first appearance, and an ad about Helgoland piques John’s interest.
JK’s handwritten list is interesting as an artifact. Thank you for this site.

I am having a problem with the site.
If I open http://www.johnkeel.com/?page_id=2 it says “64 comments,” but I can see only 14 of them.

What can one say about all of this? Clearly this isn’t a few isolated phone pranks. And the mystery “postal inspector”? Or the Helgoland ad? No wonder John was paranoid, the sheer volume of information and occurrences boggles the mind. I hope more info on this time of his life is still to come. Thanks Doug.

George — Me too. I don’t know why it does that.

Oh, yes. There’s much more. He was swamped in weirdness, and managed to keep a detailed record. And he was trying to make a living and leading an active love life too!

As a big Keel fan when I was a kid, I find these recent entries fascinating. Googling shows there is a 78 year old Joanne Piraino in a Long Island city very near Farmingdale. Could this be Jaye P. Paro?

It’s possible! Jaye Paro was her professional name; John gave her real name as Joanne Perranno, but he might have misspelled it.
