Hi Doug! It’s fascinating to see JK’s precise work, no matter the results. Critics VERY often neglect the fact that, compared to many during his times, Keel actually did the fieldwork–at considerable cost to body and wallet.

John was thorough and hard-working, and, as you say, did a lot of fieldwork. There were no established methods in ufology, and it’s interesting to see him try to figure out how to do it.
