I assume he wrote it for his hometown paper, the Perry Herald, since he mentions Perry several times.

  1. Wow. I wasn’t aware that John had spent time in California but his description of LA is both accurate and poetic! If they’d made a movie about this it would be titled “A Curmudgeon Comes to Hollywood”. Thanks again…

  2. Fascinating that he had the pink light experience in his youth, rather than in his middle age like Philip K. Dick, and yet had similar disenchanting experiences as a writer. This explains a lot about his lack of patience with the buff(oon) culture of UFOlogy.
