Speech for the Humanist Society, 7/22/70 (1)

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:40 pm

how to get gabapentin online John gave this speech on July 22, 1970. He used parts of it in the last chapter (“The Revolution of the Mind”) of Our Haunted Planet, where he noted that he gave it to the Humanist Society. There have been a number of Humanist societies; I think this one was the First Humanist Society of New York, founded by Charles Francis Potter in 1929.

The material is certainly more trenchant and personal in this earlier, longer version; among other things, he mentions some of his own psychic experiences, particularly at the death of Mary Hyre, his correspondent in Point Pleasant. The speech is 16 pages, so I’ll break it up into sections.

  5. Mr.Skinner,I just finished reading John Keel’s JADOO which was a great read by the way. Can you please tell me which book of Mr.Keel is written right after this one? I just want to make sure I read them serially and chronologically, and not randomly. Please do reply.(By the way I have previously read his book The Mothman Prophecies which was intriguing…as usual).

  6. Diptava Ray — There’s a bibliography on this site that lists John’s work in chronological order: http://www.johnkeel.com/?page_id=3

His next books after Jadoo were two quickie pseudonymous novels, Town Tease and Three Women, and a Batman parody, The Fickle Finger of Fate, all published in 1966. His next books on the paranormal were Operation Trojan Horse and Strange Creatures from Time and Space; both were published in 1970, but I don’t know which was first. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed Jadoo!
