We return to “The Answer,” John’s private file of his conclusions about the UFO puzzle, as of 1967. In this part, he considers the Androids’ habit of lying to contactees, their dependence on “orders from higher up,” and other curious aspects of their behavior.

The buy Pregabalin powder “Androids” tell Keel that they come “from another world” but not from another planet. When asked if they come from a place that is near but invisible they answer “yes and no”, which I take to mean “yes, it’s near” and “no, it’s not invisible”. The place they come from is “always light”, it doesn’t get dark. It’s as if the “Androids” want Keel to think they come from the Hollow Earth. Or from Shaver’s caves. The Hollow Earth is supposed to be always light, illuminated by a miniature sun. In Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s 1871 novel The Coming Race, a subterranean super-race, the Vril-Ya, lived in caves that where always illuminated by vril power, a type of electromagnetism. The Vril-ya looked like Egyptians. They had human shaped automatons. I’m sure Keel new all of that. I wonder why he didn’t consider that possibility more seriously. It doesn’t seem more absurd or contrived than aliens from another dimension or from the super-spectrum.

I can’t speak for John, of course. But my guess is that he didn’t think some of his reports fit the hollow earth or cavern hypotheses, but suggested a less material explanation.

There is a Youtube video titled John Keel – The Men in Black (1989 Lecture) UFOs. In it, Keel mentions the King of the World, the subterranean kingdom of Agharta, the Hollow Earth and the notion that the King of the World, from his underground city sends his agents, the Men in Black, to the surface.
Keel mentions the Androids interaction with college students. In his 1988 book Transformation, in the chapter titled Lost Land author Whitley Strieber mentions some memories he had from being in college in England in 1968. During the summer he seemed to have spent several weeks on the Continent he cannot account for. He was in a little room in Barcelona when a woman appeared with a ticket on Egyptair. He then remembered being in an “airplane” with small men in blue uniforms with slanted eyes. He has these memories of being transported to a desert environment apparently inhabited by the same type of beings that abducted him in his earlier work, Communion. He lived there for weeks. According to him “this desert had a tan sky that was so bright it was difficult to look at. It never really got dark there.” He also saw American military types in khaki uniforms with Bell & Howell movie cameras. I remember that Keel mentioned an engineer named Rex Ball who came upon a mysterious underground installation in Georgia in 1940. It was manned by small Asian-looking men in coveralls and a few American military officers. When Ball was caught in the tunnels, one of the officers ordered, “Make him look like a nut!”.

And with Richard Shaver’s later stories, which affected some ufologists. Shaver himself was inspired by Abraham Merritt, who wrote novels about underground civilizations that Shaver thought were based on fact.
